Getting More Bass from OEM Sound System?

Hi, folks - I've had very few problems on my 2001 GS-300 with Nav. I wish I could squeeze a little more bass out of the sound system. Does anyone know if the subwoofer is adjustable? Most subs have an output adjustment, and I'm curious, a) Where the sub actually lives (on top of the back seat deck?) and b) has anyone installed an aftermarket subwoofer? I have a terrific Bazooka sub leftover from the BMW I had before the Lexus ($2000 extra for a "premium" sound system that sucked wind) but with such a small trunk (compared to the BMW) I don't want to use up all that space.
Any thoughts?

More Bass
Chicane - Might take a look at the FAQ Forum & drop down to the Audio section. I posted some suggestions there which were taken from Percy, Brad & others, as well as myself. All of us have some USAC and/or IASCA competition experience but by no means are we the all-knowing ( well, maybe Percy because of his electronics skills - he's sharp!! ). We also all have systems ( large & small ) in our rides so we've pulled the trunks apart, removed door panels, etc. Don't think the factory sub has any adjustment ability nor is it really the way to go to add extra low end. Check out the FAQ Forum & we welcome your presence in the Electronics area with any other Audio questions.
