BMW's are generally if not always 5x120 I believe, you can use adapters to fit the wheels to a Lexus bolt pattern if the offsets and tire sizes allow the spacing of the adapters.

this thread should be sub divided into different rim diameters. I tried to find my answer but between umpteen pages and time to load all the photos I'm forced to ask a nube question.

Just swapped to LS400 brakes and need caliper clearance. I have brand new 17" rubber (245/45/17) and use 17" on another car, so it's 17" rims, probably 9" wide rims. Bigger looks nicer yes, but 17 is my size.

I have a shot at some lightweight Steeda 17 x 9 rims that will work nicely on my track car some day. The offset is 24 mm. They have lots of caliper clearance but are a fair ways out from the factory 45mm.

I won't be rolling my fenders. My car isn't slammed but is lower than stock via lowering springs, I have no issues rubbing the fender liner or harness. No plans for lower or anything other than stock alignment specs.

can one of you wheel wizards tell me if this 24mm offset will fit?

Yes, in terms of fender clearance. This has been explicitly answered MANY times. The front may rub because your tire size is too large.

Thanks for the quick reply. I suspected it has been answered, but finding that answer.

As far as the front rub, thats on the outside of the fender I assume.

I'm also guessing it will depend on how low the car is and will simply limit the turn radius.

Not without modification to the wheel arches. Go read the wheel fitment threads for more information.

Hey guys. I ha e a 93 SC4 stock height on stock 16” OEM wheels. I live in a city where the roads suck and anything more than 17 or 18 wont work for me. The car came with 20” wheels and they hit the well every time I hit a bump so I went back to stock.
I don’t plan on lowering at the moment.

i do want to have a wheel that sticks out wider than the oem. It is too tucked into the well.

looking at several different wheels but for conversation sake, going to stick to just one.i know the stock wheel is +50.

TSW Bathurst
front 17x8 +40
rear 17x9. +40.

1. Will I need to run a spacer in order to push these out a little?
2. Will I get any rubbing with the width and offset? I don’t completely understand how the offset really works so I am looking for some guidance. Thanks in advance

Try the 1st gen SC forum for questions about your SC.

Also, I recommend Googling "what is wheel offset" because the top results will probably be good, concise answers to this extremely common question.

Message to the moderators: the fact that someone ended up in this thread instead of the proper curated wheel and tire fitment thread is a perfect example of why leaving these threads clutters search results and makes it harder for people with low computer literacy to find the answers they're looking for.

Hi all,

Newbie here. Would 18x8.5 +32 fit on a stock SC300? No suspension work done to it.

It would fit on a GS. If I were you I would be asking this on an SC forum / page if I was too lazy to use a search engine to answer a question that has, with guaranteed certainty, been addressed and documented in numerous places dozens of times over the past 30 years.
