puddle light question im stuck somebody please help

Exclamation puddle light question im stuck somebody please help

hey guys so i am installing my puddle lights but i want to get it tap to come on and fade with the dome light is how can i tap into the dome with out tearing apart the whole top apart? how is everyone running theirs? thanks guys

You can take off the side windshield pillars and the dome console out.

why don't you just tap into the footwell lights?

hmmm never notice does the foot light fade out when you close the door?

I tapped mine into the foot well lights on both sides. Works great.

Same much easier to tap into the foot well lights. They fade/dim when you close the door.

I tapped the puddle lights on my side mirrors to the footwell lights and they fade just like the dome light

S2dannyKeo, did you use the mounts for the LEDs or did you just drill a hole?

there are mounts that come with it i use those but i did drill the hole to fit the lights

I fed mine through the A-pillar (had to remove A-pillar cover) and then ran a snake to the dome light to avoid taking off th roof liner. This is the best method in my opinion. When I unarm my car the light come on and fade off with the dome light. And of course come on when you open the doors. Not to mention you can use the dome light switch as a override if you wanna keep them on for show.

My old car I connected it to the footwell lights in the bottom of the door. But only come on when you open the door. I don't recall them fading off tapped to the footwell lights.

foot well lights will work, everytime you unlock your car , your footwell (and puddle's) will light up

any pics of how you guys actually mounted the puddles?? I don't really want to drill the side skirts or where ever you mount them =/

either way, your gonna need to drill holes, small or big.

Ok guys so I'm tapping it to the foot well light which wire do I tap into because I tried both and I ran the black on the car for ground but it stayed on and did not turn off
