OEM Non HID to retro fitted HID headlight.
Can you turn a oem non HID headlight into a retro fitted HID headlight?
I'm planning to buy a set of non HID headlights, a set of projectors and use some of my parts from my oem HID headlights and make them in to a retro fitted set of headlghts. Is this possible??

Yes and use the oem HID parts off my oem HID headlights to make them work in the oem non HID headlights.
In short terms: taking a halogen GS headlight and make it HID retrofitted.

Yes you can. The only difference between the OEM Non/HID and HID headlights is autolevelers that's found on the back of the headlight. Here's instructions from LuxuryMods on the install.

OP: If I'm reading correctly, you're gonna do a retrofit with projectors right? There are a couple problems you're gonna run into (if you're car comes with stock HID's) First off, both [stock] housings are the same, but they punch out pre creased holes to mount the ballast, levelers and bulb 'cap'. If you're getting after market (which Im sure you are to save money) those pre creased cutouts wont be there for reference which will not allow you to put the levelers in (which IS a big deal) unless you plan on deleting them for some reason. Also, no place to put the stock ballasts. I'm sure you can ghetto rig that install, but thats up to your standards. I dont know how exact the aftermarket housings are to the oem, so not even sure there would be a place for any of these items.
If you're getting oem non hid's... why? they're price difference is pennies.
Now if you're just getting non hid's and NO projectors... thats a big with lots of problems including, wiring, bulb mouting and incorrect reflector bowls.

Yes you can turn a non hid headlight into a hid retro. Just buy projectors and the Hid kit. What's wrong with your oem hid headlights and what parts are you trying to use from the oem hid kit? Are you trying to turn the oem non hid into oem hid or a projector retro with a oem hid ballast?
