Default 2001 GS430---How much is it worth?

Found this GS430 on craigslist and plan on checking it out....can anyone chime in and tell me what they think its worth? http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/3205907212.html

They want $11,600 but KBB says around $10,000. Just want some opinions....Thanks!

Real Market Value is about $8K on this car for Private Sale. Dealer Retail is $9250. I say $8250-$8600 is fair range. Since it has all it services done nothing wrong with paying full Retail of $9250.. Though FULL NADA is about $12,425.. but you can see dealers selling the car for $10,900.. So If he wants $11,600 and if its clean as he says it is, shoot them an offer of $8500 then move up until $9250 but i would not pay more than $9500 for this car.. Trust me if a Dealer had this car and you offer $9000-$9500, they'll let it go.. So just because the owners priced high doesn't mean they'll get it.. Good Luck.

Looks super clean. But I wouldn't pay the asking price.

Default It's always the missed opportunity that pondering our thought lol

Hell, If you really like it, bring a your trusted mechanic with you and a code reader. Have the car thru a pre purchase checkup. Two or three hundred dollars different wont kill your bank. Every used cars are unique. It is finding a good and well taken care of car is the hardest part.

Default Don't base your decision on KBB or Real Market Value

Carmax quoted my 2001 with everything loaded, and 102k miles for @6000. While they are listing other GS with much higher mileage at $12,000.00. If you really like the car and planning to keep for awhile. Paying a little over is not gonna hurt you. It's only the dealer or flip flopper that worry about market value and how much profit he/she going to makes.

That's funny because this is my car! What a small world..huh

Price discussion is irrelevant. As a matter of fact this is the cheapest GS430 in whole Bay Area and Sacramento Craigslist. KBB is around 10.5 Nada is at 12.5 for this year stock GS. You will not find GS kept up like mine for 9-10 with its full history, its condition and etc. at any dealer or private party owner in Northern CA area. If you do then you luck'ed out. Normally you might find a gs that will still need service around that price. Mine has had every possible front suspension work done.....ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, EVERY single bushing was replaced, motor mounts, tranny mount, breaks, ALL fluids were replaced, 2 window actuators, spark plugs and etc. I have box full of my own and previous owners records, carfax and smog. I also have a box full of old parts that I replaced on it. FULL timing belt service (worth around $1000) was done about 6k miles ago. Car handles like new and I would rather keep it then let it go for $9k as I'm not in that big of a rush to sell it.

As for 'not budging on price' I'm surprised you say this because when you came out here you didn't make me any offer. Your mom was the only one who mentioned price. She asked me how much I was asking for it, after which I told her my asking price but neither you or your mom has made me any offers at any time.

I have also offered to you that you could have my GS inspected at dealership of your choice or by your mechanic if you wanted to.

Anyhow you seemed like a nice guy and I hope you find your dream gs. If you'd like to make me an actual offer then call me. You have my number

Kris

Talking Man, That is a V8. Can you deliver

I would buy that car if it was in OC area. I saw a V8 blasted passed me on the I-5 in Irvine couple weeks ago. Now it is the V8 that sticked to my brain.

BTW check this out.
