So I wasted oil on my valve cover last night so I took it to the wash to rinse the oil off because it started smoking. After It got wet not long after letting it idle it began to misfire so I went and switched out my coil packs to see if it had gone out. I have a gs4 so the oil cap is next one of the areas I tried to rinse. Is it possible that the moisture could have ruined my coil pack?

Probably have water down in a spark plug well. Remove all coils and blow out any water that's down there.

A ruined coil pack will likely trigger the check engine light. So if you are misfiring and there are no CEL's, it's likely due to grounding of the spark at the bottom of the well from the water.

Is the CEL on? If so, start there. Post up codes.

Don't drive it while it's misfiring. It will damage your cats and you don't want to do that.

If that's not your problem, you have water somewhere that should dry out eventually. Hopefully without permanent damage to anything.
