Dead Batttery!! in 2000 GS400
Hey guys!
Im ventureing over here from the SC department to see if I can get any info on what might be causing my battery to die? Any known glitches or fault with the wiring system on this make and model would be great. Thanks! I'd rather know anything about this matter before I try fixing it.

Can you give us a little more detail? Mods you have on the car, does it die every day, every week? Does it drive fine, have you tested the voltage? I assume the battery light on your dash is not on?

I am having the exact same problem. Everything in my car is stock besides an air intake, and a custom exhaust. My battery was dead saturday morning for the first time in forever, and I got in my car again yesterday in the middle of the day after being driven earlier.. and the battery was dead again.
Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on here?

How old are your batteries? I had a similar issue and it turned out to be just the battery. You may also notice that the transmission might be shifting a little bit harder than usual.

If your battery is more than about 5 years it's probably on it's way out. If you can drive the car after getting a boost on a dead battery, chances are your alternator is fine. Just get a new battery. I have had real good service from Costco batteries. Bang for the buck they are great.

Thanks guys! Ya I have not touched the car it is completely stock. The battery life is still good so I think the next step will be to have the alternator checdk then inspect for any loose wires or left on lamps (glove box, Trunk, Ect) thanks guys as this is my grandmas car and I have never touched a gs before.
