I live quite a ways from where I can find different lexus to test drive. I would like opinions on which model I should buy. I owned an 02 IS300 for 7 years and sold it 6 months ago. I thought I wanted a car with a little more comfortable ride. Then I found an event I want to enter. High top speed and handling are important. This event is a once a year thing while I would use the car as a daily driver. I did drive a 99 SC300 that came up for sale nearby. A lot of body roll in the corners and not enough power, I thought. I added a sway bar to a Fiat 124 years ago and was not impressed by the quality of the fit. Not real interested in aftermarket suspension components. Does the 2nd gen GS 400 handle better than these old SC's? Looking to start with something in the 12k or less price range.
