Rick, glad to hear you are alright. Well at least we know for sure that Lexus holds up in an accident. Now you will be able to get the new GS.

Kay Gee, my wife is a Delta also and I am an Alpha. Rick, get your tag or someone else will.

holy crap, again it's good to see you're alright.

What does your insurance say about something like that, an animal jumping out in front of you. I've always wondered unless you hit the damn thing as proof, are you "at fault" or is it a no fault claim?

I work for an ins co. IF he hit the animal it would of been a not at fault clm, but since he did not hit the animal, and collided with a fixed object, most likely it will be an at fault incident. Also since he did not hit an animal it will go under his Collision cov, which most of the time the deductible is more than the Comprehensive cov. So next time bust that deer, squriel, possum, whatever in the **** grille!!!

Just an FYI - the roof got crushed as the car was pulled OUT of the ditch upside down, not when DrRick went down there.

as bit said, alot of the damage was done as they were pulling it up the hill. but they would not have had to do that, had i just hit the damn animal..........

How big of an animal was it? i can understand if it's a deer or elk but anything dog size and smaller is getting creamed.

My God Rick, those pictures really out it into perspective. Thankfully you're okay.

Have you heard from the insurance company? I'm going to say that it is most definately totalled. You wouldn't want it repaired.

Don't beat yourself up about the animal, you just did what came naturally to you, you reacted to something in the roadway and swerved. I would have done the same thing in your position.

i find even in my first gen gs that these cars fishtail way way too easy. especially in the rain. you may say i dont know how to drive or i'm accelerating too hard but i admit i accelerate a bit hard sometimes but just the weight and size of the car makes the fishtail uncontrollable.
