Question Is $39,910 for a 2003 GS 300 any good?

This is the total price for a 2003 Blue Marlin, Ivory leather interior Premium Pack. plus HID and heated seats, wheel locks, cargo mat and net. I think MSRP is $42,189.
Is this a good price?????
Please let me know, I put $500 down today.

Not a bad price. My parents paid about that much for their similarly equipped '02 GS3...I think we got it for a shade under $39K...I'd say go for it.

Is this your first Lexus?? If so, it will be harder to get a lower price...but I think you can work the price of the one you are looking at to about 39-39.5 especially with the way sales have been going compared to last year.

Default it is really good price since I paid more.

I bought 2003 GS300 with premium, HID , heated , silver with black...(which they say most popular so less change to get better price than other colors)
I paid $40500 in New York.....two month ago...
Since you are in Texas, cars are little cheaper there....same as Michigan....I bought 2001 BMW325i with premium at $29000....in Michigan....
can you believe it? it is $34000 here in New York......what a difference.....well... I had some problem with service since I did not bought from New York so that when you take the car to dealer for service they don't like your visit...you know what happens next....long wait...no loaner car...so on...

I just traded my BMW and got a lexus....I got $24k on BMW...
great deal I mean...I bought 29000 and sell in 24....
only $5000 spent with 24000 miles on it....

For me it made me up save me some time because I didn't have to go Pen.or Conneticut...to buy a car....

I can tell 39000~40000 on your car is a very good price...but it all depends on where you live....I called my friend and he said he can get my GS $39k in Michigan....see the difference?

good luck and have great time with your new GS...

by the way it is personal thing but remember silver with black...is easier to sell later.....that is only reason why I bought silver...
personally I like white, or dark blue. but this is what pre-owned manager told me " it is so much eaiser to sell silver than others and the price can be differ by $2000~3000."

And one more thing...I had what they call fiber-glass tint...
THis is imported from Japan and it is so nice...I know it's good to have less scratch on tint and noise...My mom's mercedes E320 also has this tint and she had it for 1year so far very good...
it is pretty expansive but it is worth it...since my salesman gave me 300 installed....so it was ok...but ask your dealer see if they have that tint...If they have regular tint then do it aftermarket...

Other than tint, don't do anything in dealer.....they will show you a list of options.....don't do it....they always over charge....

Well, invoice is $37500ish, and I was able to work it down to about $38k when I was looking, but that was with the help of a buying service. Thats probably pretty good on your own.

Good point Ed, make sure the car actually has HID. I've never seen a 300 with HID and without Nav/Lev before either.

My wife and I went to pick up our SC from scheduled maintenance and saw the 2002 GS300 Sportdesign sitting on the showroom about 2 months ago. My wife already thinks the GS is sexy, but she fell further in love with the awesome looking Sportdesign with its perforated black leather, grey (or is it white?) piping along the seat curves. This car was black onyx, loaded to the gills and had the ML audio system, NAV, and HIDs. It was priced at about $46k, which we both thought was too high for an inline 6. At that price we'd be lurking near base GS430. <UGH>
