Default Looking for Exhaust Need Input!

I'm looking for an exhaust that has absolutely no droning inside! (i'd drive me insane) but relatively loud outside. Won't attract too much attention from cops!

System has to be smog able as I'm in Socal!

Anyone running a setup on a GS300?

i always heard that it was a "ghetto way" to mod your car. what exactly do the resonators do? will the difference be a lot in a 300?

I recently removed my resonator and it sounds good with stock mufflers. Its like adding a straight pipe to the car and the stock muffler calms it down.

How is that ghetto?

Resonator, just keeps the car quiet like a silencer. Remove a silencer then all is well!

I did it to my 430 and it sounds really nice, but i wish it was louder though, but no droning. Cost what $60?

Aren't the tanabe medallion series exhausts somewhat quieter or more subtle than others, that's which one I want to look into

the sale is from NY

I might look into removing the resonators. The reason I wanted a new exhaust was so that I could have the aesthetics look as well as part back to stock if necessary.

Ive researched that 5Zigen is one of the ones that looks the best and is one of the more quiet ones. However the price is pretty hefty!

From my understanding any exhaust messing with the cats (I.E. cat back) will make you fail smog correct? And these exhausts are the whole front to back of the car.

And any exhaust which is catback only goes until your cat (rest stays stock) and you will be able to smog?

I have Magnaflow squares, 2.5" mandrel bent piping, deleted resonators. EXTREMELY quite cabin, but very throat/mean when you get on it from the outside. You will love it...

I think your referring to "axleback" exhausts... Correct?

Tanabe hyper medallion sounds perfect for a guy who wants a more agressive look without going overboard and a sporty sound.

I'm on the same boat, all this talk of removing resonators is making me want to do it, since winter is coming soon and I don't want to get the Tanabe Touring Medallion till next year.

cat-back or axle-back exhaust are both after the catalytic converter.
if you remove the resonators won't it fail the visual inspection part of the smog test?
