I picked up some Eagle Eyes LED tails and they installed just fine. Now intermittently my dash light for the rear lights goes on. Anyone experience this?

Just take the resistors off and deal with the dash light or remove the bulb.

WTF? I just spoon fed you the answer. How hard is it to look up "resistors" on the search page. The only purpose the resistors have are to eliminate the dash light indicator. But most of the time the resistors overheat and start melting causing them to fail. Most people just don't use the resistors and either live with the dash light or take the bulb out of the dash. If you took 5 min to look you would find your answer. Now gimme my $20

Concerned about amount of heat from led tail resistors

Has anybody noticed how many people don't read a post before they respond? Read a post and respond appropriately to the question being asked or just don't reply at all. So many posts get crapped on by people who don't want to be part of a COMMUNITY and try to start drama. Recently the mods posted about keeping peace and getting this forum back on track, but some just dont get it

Wow! I don't know how I could have been more clear. Did you even bother to read the entire thread to the link I posted? I love how you just changed the topic to "Mods please close". Don't write checks your *** cant cash. You're welcome!

Never once did I complain of them getting too hot, And nobody on that thread said anything about going days without the warning light on. I'm not going to assume that it's the resistors when it can be faulty wiring or just a bad quality product. I expected someone that has had experience with eagle eyes light to chime in.. If you can be respectful stay off people's threads.

You're not going to assume its the resistors? Are you serious? The title of the topic youre asking if its "bad resistors?" Dude if you read that thread i mentioned you will notice everyone complains about the resistors not just from overheating but being faulty. It's clearly stated by many that the resistors are not necessary and actually draw MORE energy when you use them. I've gone through 3 sets of LED tails and removed the resistors on 2/3 sets and they work perfectly fine. As I mentioned in my first post. Throw away the resistors and live with the light or remove the bulb. Let's put this BS to rest. Test if everything works without using the resistors. If everything is fine then I don't see what the problem is. If you're unhappy with that then keep replacing them under warranty until you have a set that works perfect and realize later they they overheat like a b***h. And if you're still not satisfied then throw them away and stick with stock and quit your crying.

Guys, after reading the thread I'm embarrassed by many of the responses here. I and other mods have had personal conversations with many about how telling folks to use search isn't helpful unless you give them some links to prior threads and what you searched for.

OP you could also help by being more clear in why some of the answers didn't meet your needs.
