Default help identify this please

the other day i lowered my car and drove around and i hear this ringing noise, something like jingle bells, i did scrape the car here and there.and the next day i was driving in a parking lot with the windows open and heard this loud ting sound and got off the car and found this huge bolt on the group, i cant think of where it came from and havent had the chance to lift my car to check what it is, does anyway have a clue what this bolt might have come from? thank you advance

Thats what it is... There are 2 on the top and a third one underneath the throttle body... The one underneath is probably the one you're missing...

I just installed my coilovers. That bolt is from the lower control arm. Check the rear lower control arms and it should be the bolt closest to you which the coilovers connect to. You probably under/over torqued the bolt and it came/broke off. I might be wrong so double check. If the bolt did come off heres a replacement: http://lexus.sewellparts.com/oem-cat...S400-1999.html (48194A, 48198R, 90179-14069(2)) Hope this helped

lol, thats NOT that bolt. i just bought those actually for when i finally put in my rear knuckle bushings, what people dont know about me is im OCD as hell and when i replace parts, i replace ALL the bolts to new bolts also

BTW if he over torqued it, it wouldnt come off.....unless it broke/sheared and if you actually look at the picture the bolt isnt broken or sheared

these are the bolts your referring to on the left, notice the size difference of them and OP's bolt? i also think its to long/thin to be the swaybar endlink bolt

i understand your trying to help and im sure OP appreciates it but you might say you think its that if your not sure its that particular part for 100%. i try to make all my posts accurate and if im speculating or not sure i let people know that so they can use their judgement when they read my writing this way people don't have misinformation like is so common on here and im not necessarily referring to you im just making a general statement

i havent ever messed with my throttle body but i know devon (Chin) knows his parts as he is a parts recycler and if him and thomas think its the throttle body bolt i would have a hunch it might be (i just didnt comment on their posts as i wasnt sure)

no harm man, always good to help.....better than OP not getting any responses man

That is definitely the throttle body bolt. As previously mentioned, its likely the one that bolts on underneath
