would it be ok to put 245/45/17 on a stock 17 wheel 7 spoke GS430.
right now i have 2345/45/17 i was wondering if it be better to go size up .
anyone running 245 on a stock 17 wheels . a picture would help also.
im rolling 245's right now, i like them because they put more cushion on the rims and would be a better chance in saving the rim or getting bends case of a bad pothole.
So if 265 is good fitment for you, would you apply the same width in the front? Perhaps 255 or less down at 245? Please, lemme know what you think is a fair adjustment. Anybody for that matter. Any suggestions? Looking to maybe give this a try. Want that look just until I get these rims I'm looking at.
I'm rolling on a "staggered" fitment. I have 235/45 on the front and 275/40 on the back. I didn't like the look at first, but I love the wide tires in the back now.

Yeah wider is better, wait was that from a Pontiac commercial, lol
If you have wider tires in the front, you could rub when turning.

But do you have this staggered setup on the stock OEM 17" wheels? Please post pic up if so. I definitely wanna see that.
Yes I have it on stock. That is my car in my sig, except I have tint now. It looks just like the photo below, but just imagine looking at 275 width tires in the back. I will try to snap a pic later if I remember.
**** I'm ready for that snow! LOL. I Bought me a new set of Bridgestone Fuzion tires 235/45/17 for my stock OEM 17" wheels. PA gets brutal in the winter occasionally. So I'm holding them off til it's freezing out lol

Can you please snap a couple of pictures from both sides on the back and maybe a front view too? I wanna see how it looks. Because I just bought some new tires but if your setup looks nice, I might return 2 tires and get them 275/40/17 for the back I love me an aggressive sporty look like that. Especially OEM. I love cars in they're original form. Hey, also, have they given you any problems being so wide on the back? No tire pressure issues, etc.? Let us know!
I hope you guys are joking about putting a 275 on stock 17x8 rims. I wanna see a pic of this. And just to let you know wide tires don't do we'll in snow. Wider is better on dry roads, not wet or snow.
