Default My GS400

Hi guys,

I've been a long time lurker on the forums for a couple of months as I knew I wanted to buy a GS. So I saved up during the summer and as I came back to school for my senior year (Syracuse University) and I seen a GS400 on craigslist that was clean and the price was right. So I purchased it.
Here are the pics of her!!

its a 99 GS400 with 157,100 miles and the previous owner changed the tail lights and steering wheel. I de badged her last week too! Had her for a month and she's been smooth.

Got brand new rotors im looking to fix my door actuators myself as the driver's door as it doesn't lock/unlock without the key. I need to change my Upper Control Arms in the front. Besides that everything is good.

Not going to do too many mods just yet as money is tight but I plan on:
Getting new Rims
Changing headlights
Dropping it (Not yet because of the snow up here )

Im sure I will have more ideas as time goes on.

But is there anything I should look for mechanically?

Nice come up.
You should definitely look into changing your LBJ's and OTR's, check the timing belt water pump, Transmission/differential flush. Check out the DIY threads. Has alot of info.

I actually like the woodgrain steering wheel.

I wanted a black/tan combo but when I seen this in person it was a combo I liked.

Congrats on the GS4 man! Very clean... and I agree with you about the woodgrain wheel. I went all the way to TX (from Pgh, PA) to get my GS, that has every option. The E-Shift was cool.. But you can just shift it with your (RX? Ha) woodgrain **** instead, if you choose to. Nice pick-up though bro.

Previous owner did quite a bit of 02+ upgrades. I see:
Chrome 02+ grill
Chrome trunk bar
Wood Ashtray
Wood wheel
Wood Shifter
02 green tint headlights
Silver trimmed cluster bezel
02+ tails

Good score.
