Just replaced a burned out HID. When I put the new bulb in I turn lights on and blow a fuse. I rechecked install and all seems ok. Any ideas? I am trying to avoid a trip to my lexus dealer to check it out. Thank you very much.

Thanks. I didnt disconnect the battery. However, I tried two different bulbs and three fuses - will disconnecting the battery really make a difference? I have a lot of work on my GS just never replaced an HID.

If you've tried 2 different bulbs and replaced the fuse 3 different times and they're still blowing, you have a wiring and/or ballast issue.

Is it possible that I have installed the bulb incorrectly and somehow cause a short? I had some problems with the wire clip? Anyway just asking if there are any problems like that. thank you.

Your car doesn't stock with HID.
I had the same issue with my fog light change to HID. when I left my HID on when turned on my car, it always blown a fuse.
One option is to change from 15 amp to 20 amp fuse. It solved the problem, but for a long run, people afraid it will cause some other problems.
Other option is put in a relay, I dont know the concept for this... if you find out something, let me know.
