Exclamation Gs300 or g37?

I'm I. The market for a new car just sold my sc400 that was giving a load of electrical problem trying to step into something reliable. the gs300 is my favorite Lexus after the sc300/400 . Right now I'm having a hard time choosing between a 2008 g37s or a 2000 gs300 in mint condition 70,000 miles. I been car shopping for 3 weeks now and it comes down to those 2. So I would like to know which one you guys think would be a good buy in the long run.
Any feedback is appreciated thanks.

That's quite a difference in prices. 4 year old Infiniti's vs a 12 yo Lexus. Well, knowing that you are on a Lexus forum, You know your going to get biased responses... I'd rather get the Lexus, Just as reliable if not better and 2 times cheaper. What are the prices?

G37 for sure if it was a gs400 that would be another store but the g37 is quick sporty and I love the stock exhaust. Infinity is also a reliable brand.

Same, if it was a 400 or 430 I'd say Lexus but a 300 or g37s, defy lately the g37s. VQ's sound so nice stock! And plus it's probably way quicker than the 300 more modern, luxurious, and reliable because it's so much newer

Both cars are reliable hands down. Depends if you want a car you can pay off sooner than 2 years or a 5-6 years car note.

if you were considering a 3gs i would say this was a fair comparison, but since its not...infinity all the way just a newer nicer car all around.

obviously we would opt for the older and cheaper (price) car...

GS300 + 2JZ Single with the money spent buying the G37

Thanks for all the good feedback the only reason I'm stuck on the 2nd gen is because I always wanted a boosted 2j I'm a Lexus guy that's why I wanted advice because I was stepping out of my zone. The g37s I'm looking at 17000 2008 70,000 miles 6spd..the gs300 is 12,900 gold with tan interior and its immaculate. In the end I'm prob gone go with the gs300 because I want to boost it. And it's cost Effiecient
thanks for helping me decide.

Yes, the GS300 with a boost to it will definitely be a bigger head Turner for sure.

Since no one else seem to have caught this...$13k for a 12 year old car??? Man you are crazy for even thinking about spending that much for that car. How many miles?

My friend has a g37 and it is soooo smooth; very fast car! I would get that all day. That is unless that crack head selling the 13K GS will take like 6 grand instead... BTW kelley blue book for that car is right around 9-10K, but even that seems absurd to me
