Thumbs up ~*(PiCs)*~ Our 14.60sec 2002 LEXUS GS430!

Posted this in the Lobby, since this is GS430 related. I will post here as well.

Someone ask for pictures of my bro's GS430. This 2002 GS430 (Intake, Exhaust, Chip, Higher Limite-Slip-Differential, 19" Wheels, Active Suspension) does 14.6 sec @ 96mph at the California Speedway 1/4mile Challenge.

This GS430 IS fast cause a 2002 BMW M5 best at 13.90 second @ 100 mph, and a 2001 Mercedes E55 best at 14.00 @ 99mph at the same track.

So here are the pictures, Enjoy!

Or it would take him to 15 because of the extra wheelspin.

ha ha ha maybe, hopefully the LSD and lightweight foot will keep the rear end from getting ahead of the front

I'm surprised this car is so difficult to make fast. It feels very quick but yet pulls 14's. I guess it's just a bit to heavy to be really quick or maybe I'm just used to my 12 second WRX which is now back to stock and being sold off. I'm going to do big brakes and a suspension but I just don't think pumping money into go faster bits is worth it on this car. As tempting as it is I think I'll just be dissapointed so I'll either leave it stock or go 2JZ swap.

As I posted at the Lobby, the reason this GS430 was doing fair is because California Speedway is also known as a tough track, it not just 1121.27 ft above the sea-level (this will automatically add 0.3 ~ 0.5 second to all 1/4 mile runs), and most importantly the tempature have passed 100 degrees Fahrenheit on the racing day.

However, I've seen a NOS equipped GS400 (100HP + Shot) did 13.6~13.7 @ 105mph on the same track @ about 78 degree day.

Hey Jimmy,
I met you at the track with my GS400 Silver w/NOS 175 Shot running 13.40. 19's and 50psi tire pressure
Hey I got the Supercharger now and lowered the shot to 100hp. This is now a 580+Hp GS400 if the california speedway opens again for racing it will be sweet to see what this car can do. Before I was running 384RWHP with the NOS. Now I will be @ 465RWHP w/ NOS:eek: Good thing I have a helmet and 3000.00 when I blow the tranny

You are running 465RWHP on stock pistons? How many times have you ran your car at such power? Also, I assume since you say 465RWHP, you have a dyno. I'm very interested to see how your curve looks like with and without NOS.

I will Post as soon as I change out the nozzels on the NOS system they are still @ 175hp. I also want to spend mor time with the S/C to make sure all is running perfectly before I squeeze.
