you know you could have avoided all this headache by doing one simple thing. You should have checked that the CEL actually went away. That the CEL still illuminates and then extinguishes after engine start. Another thing that you could've done was to ask the repair technician if you can visually check that the OBD reader is no showing any codes after the repair was supposedly done. A reputable repair shop should never hide anything from the customer.

Damn! I wrote a long response and CL didn't even post it! No way I type that up again. I will just say that you shouldn't trust anyone, and that you should've had it written in your agreement that they were going to fix your car. 3. you should've asked for them to show you the new part installed or the old part removed. You were you passive in this position and it bit you in the ****.
