Default Switching out OEM nav for standard radio/climate control

Is it just a plug and play affair?

My nav screen died on me so I was thinking of findind a standard radio and climate control but Im unsure of how the wiring will work. Have any of you done this?

I've read the stickies and did a search, but almost all the threads I found dealt with going from radio to nav and not the other way around. I'm just unsure of the harnesses. Sorry man, just getting frustrated lol

thats not even true dude....7.5 out of 10 of the converting nav threads are from nav to non nav.

they are a plug and in play for the HVAC controls, btw why didnt you just post that in here? why make a very similar thread...always have clutter on here

Yea. Converting from Nav to non-nav is highly popular especially with the 98-00 guys who have outdated Nav systems that can't be updated. Like Brian said, a simple search would've revealed this fact to you. Welcome aboard and best of luck to you

Hope you guys can answer this; I have 03 gs430, will a non-nav climate from 98 GS work? Or it has to be 01+ and up GS? i already have the 98 gs non-nav climate already, if it doesn't work how hard is it to make it work? Thanks!
