My radio light went out

Hey there...
Yes, very common. As far as I can gather, illumination is on the board. I took three radios apart, one that lit and two that don't. I couldn't pinpoint anything burnt on the boards though switching the faces did absolutely nothing. Which tells me it's something on the main board versus a ground issue or anything of that sort.
If I figure it out, I'll be sure to post it so those of us with unlit radios can make the proper fixes and see the light again for now, I'll be wiring in two LEDs in the face so it will light in the meantime.

2002 GS430 and the radio is the factory NON-nav.
