Default Rear arches

Hi guys,
I just joined the forum. I'm from the UK and I drive a 2003 GS430 sport. I plan on fitting new wheels this week, they are 19x10 et+4 on the rear so I think they will hit the arches as I'm quite low. My question is why do most people on here choose to shave the rear arches rather than rolling them?
I'll put up some photos of my car later

Fenders for the gs are pretty sensitive they prone to dimples. That wheel might be pushing it a little work

Oh and I'm using 235/35r19 tyres so there will be a bit of stretch, do you think I will be ok?

I've also smoothed the front bumper now as the uk ones come with big holes in for the licence plate holder

Nice drop... Car looks good. As for the question, rolling will cause dimples unless you're extremely pro at rolling fenders. People choose to shave because it's a lot cleaner and most people have access to a type of shaver rather then a roller. Otherwise, you will probably have to ditch out some money to rent or buy one.

wow looks good. man. authentic tte lip?

if you plan on running aggressive sizing for the rear rims, you might as well shave them imo.

Yeah it's a TTE lip. The lip, grille, wheels and darker headlights all come standard on a 'sport' in the uk.
I worry that if I shave the rear it will loose its rigidity at bend easily

These are the wheels, they're BMW 7 series wheels, exactly the same sizes and offset as the style 95 wheels but were a lot cheaper. 19x9s and 10s et 24 all round, I've got 20mm adapters aswell so that means et 4. 235/35 on the rear and 225/35 on the front

looks good John!

I agree, shave the rear fenders rather than roll. Had bad experience with rolling, not just on my car but other GS's as well. If u decide to roll them, make sure u find somebody good to do the job right
