Knock on wood, so far so good with the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I am sure they are still not better in this winter weather than a true snow tire, but they did well today.

A little slipping on slow accerlation in deeper snow, however the combination of ECT Snow, driving slowly and braking well in advance kept me fairly confident today.

Let's not even talk about how bad the GS4 is in the snow. I actually was reading the comments earlier around 3 before I left work. This is my first snow storm and I got the full effect of how horrible they are to drive in the snow. Needless to say I could go over 20 mph and at that I still was ALL over the road. I use to have a 300ZX and that was a dream compared to my 400. I don't know why they even bother with the SNOW button or the traction control - other than watching the light go on every 2 inches. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining because I wouldn't trade my car for anything but all I can do is pray for no more snow!!!

i had same problem w/ my ls400 in snow.. but then i change tires.. if i knew it would make that big of the difference i would've done it earlier.. now i'm still using my old tires but i'm planing to change them as soon as possible 'cause i definetily do not want to drive whole winter on my tires.. they have to be replaced..

oh and another thing.. heh i kinda cheated.. i didn't go out anywhere today.. so i dont really tested my gs in the snow.. but from your feedback i don't think it'd be too much of the difference.. i'd just try to drive as slow as possible just to make sure i still on the road..

Whats up Kev, your having problems in a little bit of snow man!! By the time I got my *** out of bed, I think we were looking at something like 5 inches and counting. With the seven inches of snow we ended up with, my GS400 did great(sitting in its parking spot).

You think you have problems, try this low *** WIN kit with a set of 20's(that I should have off the car for the winter). Needless to say, my baby is stayin parked until its all melted away. My 89 Toyota 4x4 is looking real good right about now. Sure it doesnt have Navigation, but at least it will navigate.

I guess if I want to be brave and venture out when it snows, the best thing is to get a good pair of snow tires. I really couldn't believe how bad the car actually is. Slow wasn't the word. I was crawling and still. I'm grateful for all the words of wisdom prior to going at it on my own.

Needless to say, my car was parked all day long. The only action it saw was being turned on while I cleaned off the snow. I ended up riding with my friend in his 4x4 Jeep.

Is there any kind of aftermarket 4x4 system we could add? Talk about a sweet mod!

Hopefully, tomorrow will be better......

I really feel for all you guys that gotta deal with that stuff, I'm glad we have nice clear trafficy roads in So Cali. All you guys in that snow becareful about fishtailing & slipping/sliding. STAY SAFE!

about 6 - 8 inchs where I was today

TOOK MY ACCORD COUPE out with NEW AVS ES100 YOKOS out for a spin. Not bad, front wheel drive.. traction wasnt all that great, got stuck in a few 3-4 inch spots

For comparison -- Then I backed up my Gs4 with my Bridgestone LM22s Blizzaks on it and took it for a ride. I live in a small town, the snow was piled deep

ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS

Some of my friends got stranded at my house, I took them home in my GS

There is a one lane road next to their house, so I had to pull in. There is an area with 5 inchs or more of untouched snow. I pulled my GS head first into it, let them out and then pulled put.

I would have never done this without the new tires, because I know I would have gotten stuck.

So go buy them!
