New GS Owner...
ME!
I always loved the GS. At this point I really wanted one, but I don't prefer leasing for a long term, and I don't want to buy a new one only to lose a lot of money when the next gen GS comes out(which is what I really want). There was a customer that I worked with who moved from Atlanta to NY, and didn't need her GS anymore, so I bought it from her(for the dealership). Little did I realize that 2 months later, I would be taking it for myself: A 2001 Silver/Black GS300 with 13,600 miles. I sold my Acura TL(99) and leased the GS for two years to hold me off until the next gen GS comes out, which should be somwhere between 20-24 months away. It's my first experience driving a RWD car full time, as all my daily drivers were FWD(87 Accord, 95 Millenia, 99 TL).
Lo and Behold, a week after owning it, NY would have a snowstorm.. Driving was very exciting(in a sarcastic way)! When it first started snowing and the roads just started getting slick, I was all over the road. VSC was beeping every second, and traction control was active..ECT was set to SNOW. Later on at night going home, and this morning, I was very stable and in control at all times.. Someone in my dealership has a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks in 225/55/16 lying around in his basement that he used for one season. He offered to sell them to me cheap.. To all who has driven the GS in the snow often, should I take them from him?
I think the only thing I may do to it is springs and shocks, and I have a set of 17" wheels/tires from my Acura (17x8 Mille Miglia HT3 (45mm offset) in carbon grey with 235/45/17 Pilot Sport A/S tires). I may do an HID conversion as well. I'm keeping things simple for this because it's a lease. Exhaust is a thought, but I'm spoiled by the silence! My Acura had a bunch of other stuff(including exhaust), that in the end, was a real pain in the *** to take out in selling the car..
So now my house is full of Lexus Worship..2002 RX300 Nav(Parents), 2003 IS300 Nav(Brother), and my '01..

If you are going to drive in the snow, absolutely get the Blizzaks (assuming they aren't worn out, in which case get new ones or some other dedicated snow tire) Otherwise it's just a matter of time before you wad the car up in your winter conditions.

I've had my GS4 for almost 2 glorious months now, and I'm STILL impressed at the whole package. I'm spoiled though; living in Florida makes a 300HP rear driver pretty happy, with no snow to worry about.
Enjoy the GS, and be safe out there.

After researching around a bit I heard too many negative comments about Blizzaks. I heard they are good for snow and ice but a terrible all around tire. Went with Dunlop SP Winter Sport M2 225/60/16. They have performed way beyond my expectations in every way. You won't be disappointed! Although we haven't had much more then 3-4" I have been leaving a Grand Cherokee sit in the garage and I'm driving my GS.

just make sure that you dont try E-shifting in poor conditions. if you try to down shift to slow the car down with shifting, you will spin the car. trust me. congrats on a great car.....

Well, I drove the car a lot over the weekend. I really love it! It took the snow better than I expected! Being that my family also owns the IS300, for everytime I drive it, it makes me want to drive fast because it's such a tight little car. It feels so much faster than the numbers indicate. The GS is a tad slower, but I don't mind. I just wanna drive in comfort!
