Then the question becomes, can I get a nice paint job for $3k? Obviously, you get what you pay for and i'm not looking for complete perfection but I do want the car to look like it was brand new from the Lexus factory.

I think you can. Painting isnt usually the problem, its the cut and polish after. But as long as they have a booth, you should be good for <$3k (Depending where you live of course)
