Default Timing Belt Kits

Hello Friends,

I have an GS400 and it's time to replace the timing belt. I have 182k miles right now. I found this kits on Ebay $346. Items included:

1 Timing Belt Mitsoboshi TB298M
1 Idler Roller Koyo / NSK 13505-0F010
1 Tensioner Roller Koyo / NSK 13503-0F010
1 Front Crankshaft Seal KP/Stone/THO 90311-A0001
2 Front Camshaft Seals KP/Stone/THO 90311-71001
1 Water Pump Aisin 16100-59275-83
1 Water Pump Gasket (Metal) Aisin 16271-0F010
2 Water Pump O-Rings Ishino/KP - - - - - - - - - -
1 Thermostat NTC 90916-03100
1 Thermostat Gasket Ishino 16346-50010
1 Hydraulic Tensioner NTN 13540-50030
1 Serpentine Drive Belt Bando 6PK-2245

And this is what they claim on those parts.

Includes only select matched parts from Japanese OE/OEM manufacturers. These are the same parts used and trusted by Lexus, Toyota and Technicians world-wide. Perfect OEM Fit, Quality and Durability. Meets or exceeds Lexus original equipment specifications.

I am asking for your opinions what do you guys think about this kits? Should I get from the dealer with a discount for $481 local, or from Sewell Lexus $463.48?

From local dealer and Sewell, they don't include the Thermostate. Any advices are welcome, I thank you in advance.

Buy this kit. I'll help you out since no one else has even replied because the answers are all over this site. Even doing a Google search or clicking on the DIY thread above would've given you the answer. The parts are the SAME EXACT parts that Lexus use. Remember lexus/toyota build cars, not parts. At you mileage, this would be a great kit to use. I will buy this one once I hit 200k.

Thank you for you advice. I found a lot of info by searching this forum. Also a link to a you tube video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=dCTGHurWA1c

it's just the parts that I am more concern with since there are one of the most critical parts to replace. At Sewell, they sale it for $349.30 plus shipping $24 dollars.

Sewell timing belt kits:

1 Timing Belt
1 Water Pump w/Gasket
2 Idler Pulleys
2 O-Rings
1 Coolant
1 Timing Belt Tensionor
2 Cam Seals
1 Front Crank Seal

I am leaning toward Sewell since the price wise is not much different. I thank you for your offer to help. The last time I had friend local friend help me, but this time he is out of town. I might attempt to do this myself, and I hope I will get everything right.

Thank you again.

Bought my kit from "Parts Geek", Same parts as Lexus, and saved well over a $100.

I agree. Rock auto has this kit for $190. Get seals and drive belt for additional $50 and you're set. That's what I did:
