okay so i need to disarm the airbags in my 01 gs300...is the a fuse or plug that i can just unplug and all the air bags will disarm? or will i have to go to each one and un plug them?thanks...

 

Set key to LOCK position. Disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable and shield/isolate it - make sure it will not find a way to make contact with the battery. Wait at least 90 seconds before starting to work with the airbag components.

When you are done hook the negative battery back up. I would make sure no one is in front of the airbags but that is just me.

 

Are you saying to work on the car or are you wanting to enter a demolition Derby and need to disable the system. If the later, I'd probably just disconnect the airbag ecu.

 

That would be a CL first as far as I know.

 

where is the airbag ecu? if i disconnect it then none of the airbags should go off right?

 

What are you trying to do ?

 

The procedure I provided above is direct from Lexus. The only reason to unplug the module is if you plan on removing it from the vehicle.

As already asked what are you planning on doing that requires the airbags be disarmed?
