Definetly I would do it if I had a 1st gen coz it's different.
but I would've just done it coz know someone would probably go and try and beat you to it , But!!!!!! some would say that it could pass off as being Ricey but who cares what other people think as long as you like it and it does'nt come out looking GHETTO!!!

Cause you don't see the quad E-class lights retrofitted to pre quad e-class Benzs nor new 7 series headlights on older generation 7 cars.

The 1st gen GS is classy and a beautiful car. Just hook it up right. A 1st gen done right is a helluva head turner. You don't need 2nd gen headlights to do this.

Personaly I think it looks good! Ultimately its your call, if it looks good to you then go for it. I think it might be a little more work than you anticipate, but at least you have a hook up. Unlike alot of the other people on this thread, I dig the originality of doing new and different things as long as its still within good taste.

Do it. It would be a one of a kind . I like uniqueness. Body kits and wheels change the look of the car slightly.

I think this thread is a good start to a pretty intense discussion, which GS is better looking? I have a first gen 96 with a 1.8" drop and 20 inch wheels, and that thing looks beautiful!! its long, low, and just looks like one smooth piece. If someone offered me a 98, hell yeah I would get it, but it is a little stubbier (after all, its SIX INCHES SHORTER!) I think the first gen is more along the lines of a big benz or LS400, and the 2nd gen is closer to a 5series beamer-which I believe was the target. That said, with 20s, a drop, and tint, HIDs, etc, both cars look SMOOTH, especially if you leave the wing OFF the 98

Which do you guys like better?

Guys this poll is over three months old! DGOT20s, sorry but we aren't going to go down the 'intense discussion' path of which one is better. They BOTH are and each person likes their own GS for different reasons. Contact Daddy-O if you really want to start a poll on this subjective topic.

Having said that, this thread has gone way off topic from the original purpose of the post and is closed.
