Finally have my new exhaust installed
As I progress with my BPU+ project, I've been looking for some nice exhaust to increase boost levels in my GTE-swapped 2GS:
After considering possible options, I decided to go with full-custom build solution, as it might be configured exactly to my needs/tastes and probably would be less expensive than any dedicated system from 'reputable' manufacturer.
We went with 3" downpipe-back, de-cat, Y-pipe, and two free-flow end mufflers - all made from stainless steel.
The mufflers. A friend of mine who made the exhaust, strongly suggested Supra-type, single exhaust due to weight savings. However I wanted it to be dual, purely for aesthetic reasons.
This is how it looks from the outside. Noticeable, but nothing too excessive - exactly how I liked it to be.
The noise is also noticeable but not that VERY loud. We expect it to increase a bit (a lot?) after single turbo conversion which is in further plans.
The next thing on the list is a piggyback and tuning and then the car is going to be dynoed. I wonder what real-life BPU results will turn out to be.
