1999 GS300 rattling
Wass up everyone I'm new to the lexus world & new to forum.
I just purchase a 1999 Gs300 with 117,000 miles this past friday loving it so far great smooth car, Yesterday I stop at lights, stops notice that it rattles a little from the front lest it's worrying me. It doesn't happen when its running only when stop and the brake is pressed, anyone has an idea what can be sounds like something is lose?
NOTE: Previous owner put new timming belt & water

Last year I had something very similar, it was coming from the driver's side front wheel area. I thought I had a bad tie rod or blown shock, the rattle was really bad over any road bumps or irregularities/ rough pavement. Took it to my local shop and they found one of the caliper pins worn badly. The repair was less than $50 and the car felt and sounded new again.
It was my car's 3d repair in 15 years, so I'm not complaining at all...Worth a shot to take a look.

check the exhaust clamps/straps because of age mine was not holding the exhaust tight anymore and was rattling when I was stopped. sounds like it might be it

UPDATE: I lift my gs300 this morning exhaust seem very clamp everything look good. So I turn to my heat shield behind the rotor it was intact but it was lean against the rotor causing vibration when the car was in drive and breake applied. It was an easy fix all I did was pull it back making space and bamm solved. drove it around the block a couple times stop very often and no vibration.

Things I can think of it being, and would have first said, Check all heat shields to make sure they aren't loose, cats and all, Check dust shields behind rotors, and also now is it a rattle? Or a pop corn type noise? If it sounds like popcorn kernels popping kind of, servo motors. Very common. A/C Servo motors. In which case there's a DIY for how to take them apart and regrease them, which I confirmed works 100% besides that, um, sure there's tons more but start there...
