...Albeit, the OEM brakes really are NOT in need of 'upgrading' at all.... Simply installing EBC Redstuff pads (and maybe new rotors) will provide more-than-adequate braking on our cars.

I just drive like a MANIAC, and really just love having next to NO risk of ever rear-ending somebody because I couldn't stop my car in time. haha

All I know is- we installed the (sweeet!) all-aluminum 4-pot LS calipers up front on my '01 GS4 with new slotted/drilled rotors and EBC "Redstuff" pads all around, and the fuggin car literally stops as well as a new Porsche Panamera, or BETTER. It's insane, honestly. I LOVE em !
All psychological. Your brakes do not stop your car any faster. It may not fade as fast but if you are not overheating your brakes , which on one time stop it will not, you are not stopping faster. It may also feel more solid but it will not stop faster.

The 92 and the 98 LS both have the same stopping distance

Not to mention, a lot of it depends on the tires.

Tires, weight distribution, suspension geometry, surface driven, steering geometry, condition of suspension parts (shocks, bushings, ect..) , condition of rotors, condition of pads, condition of brake fluid,

But if you can lock your tires up (or actually get to just before they lock) that's about as fast as you are going to stop and bigger brakes won't help you (they will in a race track or a mountain road where you can get brake fade but not for a one time stop under normal driving)

Also a big brake kit will let you stop with less pressure on the brake pedal wich also gives you the psychological feeling you are stopping faster.

WOW. I didn't know that !?
Very interesting...

Well- I guess I owe the credit to the EBC Redstuff pads then! haha

The Panamera brakes 70-0 in 158 feet, the GS in 139. So pretty poor compared to the GS!
