2001 GS300 inner brake lights are not working
My inner brake lights on both sides don't work. The changed new bulbs or swapped with working outter bulbs but they still don't work. This causes the dash light lids when I pressed the pedal. It looks like power going to the inner bulbs are lost. I am guessing wires got loosen at a junction somewhere.
Is there a brake light wire diagram and location of junction?
Thanks,
Robo.

The fuse was good. Only the outer (i said inner but they are outer) bulbs don't work. No power at socket when pressing the pedal. Look like the sensor or wire at junction got loosen

i am guessing the sensor shown in part number 89373 in link below was broken. It shows 2 part number 8937030160 and 8937030130 but I am not sure if there are 2 of them. Leus of south atlanta sells it for $258

I think if you have a bad sensor you will see more lights on the dashboard. Something like lamp failure, vis and abs.
Do the simple trouble shoot first before going out buying thoses sensor. Grab a circuit test pen and inspect the pin/socket first. Inspect to see if there is rips/cuts or lose connection somewhere. If you have a 3rd brake light on the windshield, have some one stept on the brake and see if it all light up. I think there is 4 or 5 "194" bulb in there. If one goes out it may interrupt a connection to your outter.

I have the same problem. My right inner rear brake light doesn't light up when I hit the brake. Then an orange car with lines behind trunk shows up on my dash. I checked bulb, it was burnt out. I replaced it. But still does the same thing. When I kept checking what was wrong, I seen that when I moved wire around and light began to work on and off. Ima just take it to my local electric dude. Some Japanese dude that does inspections.
I hope you resolve your problem. Just be patient and try all your options.
