Default Does the 98-05 GS300/400/430 have "Subframe Bolts" ?

If so, where in the world are they, and can loose subframe bolts lead to clunking over bumps?

Anyone have a pic of these mysterious subframe bolts?

Thanks,

Luke

Not sure if this is the subframe brace ur talking about... I put these on when i lowered my car to help with preventing rear wheel hop. I remember the bolts that hold these in place look just like the 10mm bolts on the headlights just slightly longer.

Old brace with the two bolts

Hi Mike,

I actually have no clue what I am talking about, lol. I've just seen several threads over the past few weeks that said if your suspension is clunking over bumps, check the "subframe bolts"

I don't know what they, where they are, or if there are front/rear ones?

I'm hoping someone can shed some light on this.

I will check the two bolts you are showing for tightness however.

There are 4 bolts that hold the subframe below the engine

Sam, are you saying the the subframe connects the engine to the chassis (in the Mustang world this would be called a K-member - it also has 4 bolts).

If someone can show a pic of this, that would be awesome.

Yeah for now... I replaced a bunch of stuff about a year ago. No suspension issues at this time.

Got it, I'll check those 4 bolts. I'd imagine the torque spec is like 100ft-lbs?

Sam that's a great illustration.

I wonder if the bolts are easily accessible?

I highly doubt these bolts are loose, but might be worth a look.

Mike, off-topic, did those arms eliminate your wheel-hop?
