Really no need for pics... You open the door and see the black restraint strap that connects to the inside door panel. There is a quarter size cheap plastic cover that comes off easy and for some reason is hard to put back on but does..big bolt/screw underneath that supposess to need tightening, I tried to but to no avail.. ssoo After many tries got the plastic thing to snap back into place and for no reason but voila no more creak/crack noise everytime I openned the drivers door fully: Oh weell thanks forum not sure how but problem solved!!

seriously, no need for pics. open the door fully. there is an arm/hinge that connects the door to the chassis. at the end on the chassis part, there is a plastic covering. take it off and tighten the torx screw

Hi guys, Im having this problem, took the black cover off and used a torx bit on a small ratchet wrench and could tighten it ever so slightly but still did not stop the noise, how much force did you guys use to fix the problem, also just to confirm the bolt does tighten by screwing to the right and its not a wierd opposite thread?

if you're using a small ratchet wrench, you're probably not applying enough torque to tighten the screw. i used a 1/2in ratchet wrench. and yes, clockwise is tightening.

Well tried this with a big torque wrench and wouldnt go any tighter, however now think my noise is being caused by the pins in the centre hinge as can see them move slightly when the noise is produced, have ordered two replacements, does anyone have any idea how to fit them?

my prelude has this problem, I know this has nothign to do with lexus. but the previous owner replaced the door (i think the car had a small accident (no frame damage) and the door clicks.... i wonder if i could locate a similar screw to tighten/fix this.
