i say leave the Colour, to many people already black and white... it get's a bit boring.

I dont want VIP or stance. I dont know the difference between Drift/Race and street yet lol.

Black and white is definitely too much, but what about charcoal?

The chrome is definitely DIY but what are the differences between 98-00 and 01+. Is there some difference with the shape or something?

Here is the '98-00 grille, which is what you have:

Here is the '01-05 grille:

As you can see, the vertical bars as well as the emblem are larger on the '01-05 grille.

I see...well its not a glaring issue to me so i wont worry about it. If one comes along my way eventually, I'll probably change it. Thanks for the info

Sure thing. It's just uncommon to see an older grille on a car that is completely stock. Do you know if the car has been in a frontal accident? That chrome strip on the bumper looks awfully shiny.

It has been in a frontal accident but its not a problem because the previous owner was a good friend of my dad's that had repaired it properly. The accident was minor and only caused cosmetic damage so it doesnt have a salvaged title. As soon as you showed me the grill difference I thought about the accident. I guess he didnt know the difference between grills either lol
