cuz maybe there's nothing much wrong with compustar??? but I do have another complaint. since the gs is a 4 door and I programmed only the drivers door to unlock with one press and press twice to unlock all doors.
there is a very small window for you to press the button twice to unlock all doors. if you press too fast doesn't work. press too slow doesn't work. it HAS to be timed exactly about 1-2 seconds right after the first press.

Well I jus got the 901 installed in my car waiting for them to be done now. So hopefully I have a better experience then I did with viper because since u said your compustar still is slow and lags now u got me worried it won't be any better then viper. I'll be sure to post here the results compared to viper so anyone who researches this can know the true results of which is better honestly

So i've had the Compustar for a few days now and it definitely seems like a much more solid unit then the Viper I used to have. No glitches so far or super delayed locking and unlocking. Its pretty consistent. Except if your waiting for a command to be sent or received you cant press anything else. Like if you press start, you cant unlock it until after it starts and sends the command back that it has started. I dont know if the Viper was like that too but its not really a problem. Hope this can help anyone down the line

Yea compustar seems to be the way to go so far I'm liking it better then viper. But come to think about it I think installing any aftermarket alarm/remote start in a car with a factory immobilizer makes it just easier for the car to be stolen (someone correct me if I'm wrong) because in order to make the alarm and remote start work they need to hide a key or transponder or even store the transponder code using a module but either way what they are doing is bypassing the immobilizer making the car able to start with any cut key which can be EASILY cut by the VIN. even though I'm not too worried about someone stealing my car since its not worth tht much I would never put this in a newer car unless what I said isnt true someone prove me wrong.

it's a risk you take when having these things installed. If it's installed CORRECTLY, you shouldn't have to worry but if wires and the brain are just dangling around under your dash, well, then you know where, that will lead...

Let me ask you something bro does yours do this as well? Cuz I don't remember my viper alarm doing this. Everytime you autostart the car it unlocks and locks it making you have to unlock it again just up enter and then once again to drive off. That's sure alot of locking and unlocking and the guy at the shop says that's how compustars are. Is tht true? It would be much better if the car can be autostarted without unlocking and locking first.

That's not normal for sure I've never heard of anything like this. The car should not unlock when you auto start the car what if some one gets in? Nothing should happen when you autostart the car besides the car turning on and it stays locked. And the alarm should not rearm it self after you unlocked it.

The guy said its because the car has factory alarm and ALL compustars have this and theres no way to change it. Everytime I autostart it unlocks, then autostarts then locks once again. Im not worried about anyone hopping in but it just seems bootleg to me. Can you confirm by sitting inside your car while autostarting it if yours does the same so I can go back there and tell him. BTW you have an 01 GS430? because thats what I have

what do you mean factory alarm? the oem buttons on the key? everything works normally if you auto start the car when you are inside, it doesn't make a difference.
Like I've said I've had 3 different sets of compustar 2 way on 3 different cars, and knows lots of other people who's had auto start/ compustar and never seen this happen.
I don't remember what happens to the oem alarm/ keyless system, I remember I asked my installer about this. I think the compustar controls that system too? or it remains permanently unlocked? cuz I can still use my oem key to lock unlock the door and have the all window roll down function but the compustar has to be unlocked first.
bring your car to a different shop and have them take a look

So your positive it doesn't unlock and lock or anything when u remote start it? Because that guy sounded really sure there was no way around it but maybe he's just not experienced enough
