How do you turn on And off tht thing? Pop the hood locate it and press a button ?

It's auto if your batt is below a certain voltage it charges. When it detects it's full it stops and turns to trickle mode where it keeps the battery charged. Or charge again if battery drops below certain voltage.

Where does it plug into? The battery and car charger? I'm a little confused. It stays permanently connected to the battery?
