Angry 98 gs300 problems helppp

my 98 gs300 keeps idling bad when i stop, to the point where some times it will shut off. now its been over heating but cools down then. and my heater switches from warm air to cold air. i was told before that it was because of bad catalytic converter?

too little information. too many variables. how many miles? when was the last time you did a tune up? has it been running rough prior?

170k miles and it always would idle a little when stopped but not much. check engine light would come on had the code read before and it was left bank malfunction. recently turkey hill put diesel in premium gas. lexus dealership flushed out my engine and changed spark plugs. a week later my check engine light came on flashing and idling got a lot worse car was shutting off. and now i noticed my car will over heat but cool down as im driving and my heater blows cold air sumtimes it blows hot air for a little. currently check engine light is off but all problems are still occurring?
