So ive done all the research on here n other site, 1010tires, and im certain a 255/40/18 should fit on a 18x9 rim. How come the dude who owns the tire shop im getting tires from keep saying it's too big for the rim? Am I forgetting something or is the dude just doesnt know what he is saying? Sorry if im wrong on this topic I just want other ppls insight as to why the guy keeps telling me the tire is too big for the rim. Thanks.

You can fit 265/35 or 275/35. You have the do a 35 series tire for the GS. 255/40 is good but speedo will be about 2mph off.
