Kind of Sad Acutally

Rarity is only a benefit when combined with desirability. There's nothing particularly desirable about an '00 GS4 (or any 2GS) in the grand scheme of things. They may be slightly more desirable to enthusiasts. But even then, the number of enthusiasts isn't great enough to influence the general public's perception. And the demand of the general public is what determines a car's value.
There are many limited-run versions and special edition models of cars out there that aren't necessarily more valuable than a similarly equipped standard model of the same car. Where it becomes a big deal is when the car, in general, is something particularly special. This makes the limited edition all the more valuable.

I agree with both your posts.

Well damn lol
I personally wouldnt expect my 15 yr old car to be worth much anyways. Yeah i was one of the folks asking about opinions on painting my rims and in the end still went with what i wanted. Yeah i spent money on two different grills. Yeah i spent money on all the other stuff that i didnt need and sure people do compliment some of the threads... But i also spend the money to keep it running cherry and Often more money than most people think i should have. I dont think i've spent cheap on anything so far and obviously i haven't dropped $10k+ like others But i never went in expecting to even possibly break even if i sold.
To be completely honest... I had all intentions on keeping it stock when i got it... Then i found ClubLexus. Im not complaining just saying it is the biggest reason why i started changing stuff and why I will continue.
U can take any make and model and someone will always mod it in a cheaper way... Product or price. There will always be the pure oem everything person... And there will always be the person who does only best of the best if they do it at all.
At the end of the day we drive a reliable toyota that once cost a lot... For my car that was 15 yrs ago when I was cutting class to throw pool parties in high school.
