Key fob not transmitting/ door actuators
Hey there,
First off I'd like to say I am new to the CL forum and new to the Lexus car, but have worked on many Toyota's. I am very happy with my purchase which is a 98 gs300. I look forward to owning this great car for years to come.
I have done some research myself on my cars symptoms but haven't really come up with a direct answer. I am having issues with the key fob. I found the battery to be dead, so I replaced it. Everything worked great, doors would all lock and unlock and trunk worked too. The next day, after I drove to work the doors would not lock, unlock and trunk would not work with key fob and hasn't worked since. I still have power in the key fob as well. So I am confused and not knowing where to start, I am hoping I can just reprogram the key fob but I have not found solid instructions yet and my knowledge of power locks and remote access is not vast.
Just additional info, if I press the lock or unlock button on the inside of the door, everything works as well as when I use the central locking with the key in the door handle. It does appear that my passenger side front is not locking or unlocking with any power options (just manually). So I believe it needs a new actuator? Please correct me if I am wrong, as well as ad any additional info that will help me.
Thanks a bunch, feedback is appreciated

boombastic,
How did this work out for you?
I have the same problem, I just got the one broken actuator fixed. So, I want to try the reprogramming, but I figured if that didn't work for you, then why go through trouble...
Thanks
