Coilovers aren't a good choice for me, my car is a DD that sees its fair share of snow and salt.
look a post # 5 in here and you can see the front & rear brace along with the 6 links and several other braces
Peeled the shavings off the side skirts rear corners and realized that I might be in the too low for aero zone :-/
forgot to tell you i loved the finished trunk man. thought bought some light plexiglass to put over it also? can illuminate it after that from underneath

front or rear? if front check and make sure the windshield isnt leaking and vice versa for the rear, then it might be a weld broken where the factory skinned the roof on to the car
Clay barred her finally and waxed her. After she sat for 8 months under a car cover, it was time to get that done. Now she's finally all nice and clean.
Got my snow tires/wheels off and the 17" Continental ExtremeContact DW's back on. Nice! I've been driving myself slightly crazy in recent weeks thinking about replacing the GS430. It has just under 160k now... but there's not much wrong with it. Rear passenger door lock no longer working (dealer wants $400 - no thanks). Radio LED screen bulb out on one side. Just replaced the hood struts ($25 or so for both from Amazon. Easy peasy.)
So I went looking at some other cars, newer Gen 3GS (boring design), a couple really low mile 2007 is350 (nice cars, too small, louder and rough ride compared to the GS430.) Don't want to go german because I simply don't like having to get my cars fixed when stuff breaks... and not much breaks on the GS. So, I've decided to keep her and do a bit more suspension upgrades. Last year I went to the 17" wheel/tires and replaced the steering rack bushing (huge difference!) I think next will be 4 bilstein B6's. Still running the original OEM shocks. Any advice on whether it is worth it to switch to Eibach lowering springs? I hear different things, some say doesn't really effect ride quality, some say it does... The car looks so much better after just switching to the 17" tires... maybe lowering it is not a big advancement.
Here is My 2005 GS430 with Megan Racing 2" lowing coil springs original struts and 19" wheels. It does have a stiffer ride compared to OE height and 17" wheels but not too much where it is uncomfortable. I have a 150 mile (DAILY COMMUTE) and low the stance. The ride is still smooth, only issues are pot holes and road separations like uneven edges to a bridge or real rough in town roads. But all in all wouldn't change anything.
Lowered on 19's

I had eibach's on my gs with stock struts way back in the day. I switched the struts to L-tuned and it drove really smooth. I'm currently on some Meagan and I want to go back to my eibach set up but it wasn't low enough. Might put them back on with some KYB's and RCA's to get lower
