I had removed the PWR ECT, SNOW, and VSC OFF cluster mini bulbs because I leave it in POWER most of the time and like a clean/clear cluster menu. The car was kicking in the ABS pump when my new faster shifts occurred from the valve body mods at the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts, so it runs better with it off. See in my other video, the ugly "VSC OFF" light on the gauge when I was doing a run. Instead, I have it wired up so when I hit the VSC off button on the center console near the shifter, it turns on a bright clear 3mm red LED I wired up underneath the stock green capped key-ring light. This way, the cheesey 90's lettering doesn't appear, and I know I am in "RED mode"
A huge thanks and shout out to black_LS for recently posting some great wiring diagrams used to do this mod. I have more info in my build thread for this DIY.
thanks boss, still playing with refinish ideas. The thing that's nice about a polished lip is peace of mind, especially with close proximity to fenders and 1/4 panels. I was also considering black powder coat with yellow caps.
Might be the first one to get on this mod. Tried it to break up the slight color difference of my junkyard fender with a V8 badge. Trust me, it's not that bad in person.
