Nice! Hey, did those sidemarkers come with the washer/nuts to affix them to the car?

Ordered a new starter motor. Number four - including the original one. This thing eats starters, I will have replaced three in 160,000KM (The car has 277,000KM total) It's a hard working daily-driver, but I think the starter's location in the vee of the engine subjects it to a lot of heat. Strangely, the OEM part is $100 cheaper than an aftermarket rebuilt unit. Maybe this is because Lexus buys cheap Chinese made stuff? Oh, and it will take 2-weeks to get the part.

Nothing super impressive, but i removed 2/3 of the rear badges. Removed badges. Outline was etched pretty deep, though. Me thinkst a repaint will be in order when the wing is replaced.

I like the LED Amber fogs much better than the yellow ones.
Fourth pic is of the old incandescent yellows.

I replaced the dry rotted surrounds on my rear door ML speakers. The job was very easy, it just took several hours for curing between steps. I used a kit from https://www.simplyspeakers.com/. The subwoofer is next.

I finally had the time to remove the ML subwoofer to replace the surround. Again, I used a kit from Simply Speakers. I can’t wait to hear it tomorrow after I put everything back together.

I installed three rebuilt door lock latch and actuators today that I bought from an eBay vendor called actuatorplus. They worked perfectly and are very reasonably priced. I was able to program my keyless remote for the first time. It’s wonderful. Like a brand new car. I tried the motor fix on one of them before and didn’t have much luck.

Default WP, VVTi, and misc seals

Chain pliers from local autozone ($20) wrapped with old serpentine belt. Worked like a charm and had no issues cracking the bolt

What I found the dealer did previously, probably at the last timing change

hopefully enough marks since I'm about to open i up

The lovely o-ring removed. ended up cracking up in multiple pieces. went with the powerdynamix one

replaced the crank seal and both cam seals. new WP and tensioner

new timing belt and everything else done ready for reassembly

Did the diff fluid after 65K, it was surprisingly still clear but i did it anyway
