I probably should have worded that better...I know the projectors are a retrofit, was curious if it had been done on a factory HID headlight.

I may try & take you up on that...still looking at the viability/ practicality of switching to non- auto leveling first.

Im sorry if i made that confusing ALL auto levelers ARE HID, ALL GS430's come factory with HID's and autoleveling
they (Depot) make a green tint NON HID for the 2001+ GS300's (that didnt opt for the HID option) and then HID green tint ones (so i am assuming they have the hole for the auto leveling motor), chrome non HID ones,and chrome HID ones
i removed it and chunked it. we really are derailing this thread though, PM me if you want to continue this
at first, i thought the lenses had the green tint.
after i took them apart, i noticed that the lenses were clear and it was the chrome bowls that had a slight green to them
i dunno which years came with what....but my car is a 2002 SD.
