What did you do to your GS today?

Not much, but my trunk never opened up on it's own. Now it opens fully without lifting on it. The oem trunk isn't all that heavy feeling. I'd guess 10-15lbs lighter. It took care of a dent I had right on the top crease. So no more dent and gives it a good look. It's the hood I'm more interested in for weight savings if I ever come by one for a good deal.

Installed a Walbro GSS342 255lph fuel pump with a new filter and strainer in preparation for my BC cam swap and future NA-T build. Other than soldering the two wires for the connector for the pump it was a direct fit.

Just found this thread. Lots of info on it. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...k-weights.html
Apparently it is 14lbs and it was only good for a 7.5lb weight reduction lol. Definitely not something to buy for the new price of around a grand and hope for performance. For me, it was a fix for a dent at least.

Started my cam swap. Didn't think to take pics till most of the work was done. Here is the BC 264 cams in place
Put an adjustable exh. cam gear on for some future plans with NA-T stuff.
Renewed the ignition with all new NGK iridium ix plugs, coils, and the wires are a few months old but still newish.
Took the time to install new coil connectors and rewire the coil wiring due to age and brittleness. Wire loomed everything including the spark plug wires to avoid future problems.
All timed up with a Gates racing belt. New cam and crank seals.
That's as far as I got today. I've been working on it between cars at work. If time permits, she'll be running tomorrow.

Reflecting on the first-pic... geez, look at all that room...! I have pics of the GS4 motor, for the timing belt job (between taking off and putting on the water pump), and the starter job... and even with the radiator out, the engine is still stuffed in there. That I6 non-V has so much room in there...!

Probably going to have to correct the paint again soon, paint not as clear as I would like using the AIO. Going to try Sonax CutMax + PerfectFinish.
Got a TRD Sports grill badge installed on Sunday, it was a little too open for my liking. Might paint the inside black as well, the gray metal inside is an eyesore.

Ok, I'm new to the GS and I was wondering about the lighter outlets and why I cant seem to get a charger to stay in place. Is this an issue or is it just my car? I want one of these and if I cant find one at Walmart I'll be ordering one from Amazon.

The chargers that I'd plug into my cig lighter would also pop out/ wiggle loose randomly which is why I did my mod.
I only regret buying the outlet and being too lazy to install it sooner. Worth the effort.
