What did you do to your GS today?

Got my navtools backup camera setup today. Was a pretty easy install and the quality actually looks way better than what I was expecting on a 20 year old screen.

This didn't actually happen today, it happened over the course of the last few weeks, but I got the car back on Sunday. I've put my summer wheels on since then, but it rained the day after so I need to wash it again before taking photos of that.
I decided earlier this year that I was going to bite the bullet and send the car out to have a full professional paint correction, as the car had accumulated a lot of water etching, sap and bird poop etching, swirls, random scratches etc. etc. and I wanted to start fresh for once.
I am extremely pleased with how it turned out, and I'm looking forward to swapping in some fresh headlamps to complete the look.

Nice bro! Nothing like a clean 2GS! I don’t think there is ANY car that was made pre 2000 that still looks good today and not old! What is paint correction, a respray? How much does something like that go for? Curious because I’m in NYC and body shop prices have gone sky high recently

Paint correction consists of polishing off a thin layer of clearcoat to remove scratches, swirl marks, blemishes etc. In more extreme cases like mine, it can require wet sanding with a fine grit. The paint was first fully cleaned and decontaminated using iron remover because it was full of rail dust and environmental contaminants. After the finish was corrected, it was waxed and buffed.

A friend of mine replaced my Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor today and it fixed my limp mode issues. I drove the car around all day with the AC on and it ran perfectly. It’s been so long since I’ve been able to drive it more than a few miles away from my house. Before this I couldn’t use my AC or else it would go into limp mode even faster.
We’ll be changing my O2 sensor later this week. Will probably go get an oil change tomorrow too.

I’ve drove it around today. After I fixed the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor, I’ve put over 500 miles on the car in a little over a week. Definitely enjoying driving the GS around. I can’t decide if I still want to sell it for a black GS or just hang onto it due to how terrible a majority of the GS’ for sale are.

Here's another thing I've done to my GS lately; I was noticing some drips on my garage floor so I had the local Lexus dealership replace the TB/WP and all seals on the engine, including the VVTI cam gear. The car is mechanically and cosmetically sound.
