What did you do to your GS today?

I finally got the O2 sensor replaced in my 2001 GS300 and had my friend look at the car. The valve cover gaskets and cam seals are leaking pretty bad, as I could tell by the giant oil puddle in my driveway. I was going to sell the car, but will likely fix it up. I may get the windshield tint redone as it started peeling yesterday.
I’m getting the rest of the 2004 GS300’s window tint finished and my radar detector hardwired tomorrow.

Is it just me or are GS400/GS430’s hard to find? I rarely see them pop up for sale, and if they do they’re in rough shape. I was also considering selling/trading it for an SC430, IS300, or a mint condition, black on black 97-98 ES300.

They only sold around 20% compared to the 300 so it’s more rare. Also hard to find one that wasn’t beat to **** or crashed.
I HIGHLY suggest you get the V8. The gas mileage is the same and it’s like a completely different car. So fun to drive.
The 1UZ is one of the best V8 engines ever made!
Over the past 15 years I've had the 99 GS3, 2001 GS430, 98 GS400 and 99 GS400(in that order). So I’d say I know a lot about the 2GS and it’s one of my favorite cars ever made. I’ve also owned a 2013 GS and 2017 RX F Sport and the ride quality is still better on the V8 from 1999! They just don’t make them like that anymore. I liked my GS4 more than those newer Lexus’ and ended up selling them and going back to a GS4! The V8 is the only car I have kept over 10 years and still have not gotten bored of! I got tired of the 2013 GS and 2017 RX real quick once the new car feeling wore off.
Hands down the GS400 is the best of the bunch in terms of performance and how it drives but the 430 is very nice too. Just more refined in how it drives, sort of like the LS. Throttle response isn’t as good as the GS400, but coming from a GS300 you will love it. I’ll never forget the feeling the first time I went from the 300 to the 430.
SC430 is nice too but to find one in good condition is expensive and a lot more $ then a GS4 from what I’m seeing

That’s a good idea and something I was thinking about. A friend of mine offered to sell me his black on black GS430 last week and I would have gone for it I had the space. If he’d mentioned this a week or two earlier I would’ve bought that car instead.

Edit: Had this tab open for a while before replying and didn't see that DMPesso basically covered everything.
