I recently picked up a low mile mint 03 Gs430 that seems to have aftermarket tint on the windows but very light. It has a greening color to it in the sunlight. Did the 430 come with blue or green glass from the factory similar to many euro cars?

I know exactly what your talking about. I have the similar green tiny to my windows.

Yes it has very light tint

Lexus cars comes stock with super light tint Green, brown, or blue inside the glass. More noticeable when you change out your glass if it had ever been broken.

my es300 had green tint and I changed out my rear with a used OEM glass. The used rear had brown tint, and notice the difference right away.

I was wondering is there anyway we can keep this green tint but go darker?

its embedded with the glass when it was made from factory. Only way to get it darker is tint it with film. You can always sit there and try to peel the tint off if you like. You wont look crazy at all!

Awesome thanks for the replies. I've had several cars with blue glass e55 amg, fc rx7, gti. and knew something was going on with the glass.
