Bought this part for under the hood ( top cheaper one)
https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...rge+valve,4936
I'll have to take a pic soon.
Remove the engine cover and it's on the middle top right side of the engine connected to 2 hoses.

Watched them do it on the lift without removing the canister from the car. Never seen a man grunt so much with how he had reach up there and get that one off lol.
Must have been on there really good lol
80.00 in labor is all they charged to swap it out.
As for the one under the hood, I was able to swap that myself in about 15 minutes. That one was easy to do with a standard socket wrench.
Make sure all the hoses are back on tight or you may get the p0441 CEL. Don't ask me how I know lol
Glad I could help

I broke down and bought both of them and had a local shop replace the one on the canister.

From what I've read, its rarely the canister so I guess this is one of those rare times if they're positive. I cant imagine how it comes out without at least dropping an axle/diff or the gas tank. I assume when the car was built, that was bolted up before the driveline etc. Good luck man, I still haven't gotten to repairing mine since it only throws a CEL, otherwise, it really has no effect on anything minus an emissions/inspection test.

Yes, I do realize that, but I also realize that the IS is also a 2JZ like my vehicle. I was able to get my hands on a IS300 (2JZ) repair manual and everything that I have referenced are identical. Yes, there may be some difference, but for the most part they are identical vehicles. I use myis.com for further referencing when I cannot locate it on CL.
